went here on Saturday, cool place, not hard to find at all.
Gordon’s Wine Bar is the oldest wine bar in London. It’s a bit hard to find (go out Embankment tube, the side towards Covent Garden, walk a bit, then look for a staircase on your right, and it’s down that alley…).
Once inside, it’s a dark, intimate space to have a glass of wine (and some cheese). If you walk towards the back, there are small tables in the shadows of the low ceilings of the ‘cave’ lit only by candlelight. A wonderful little find that’s literally off the beaten path. Nice and cozy happy hour spot in the winter and a bustling outdoor alley in the summer complete with a BBQ.
